Dormitory Life at St. Croix

Students living in the St. Croix Lutheran High School Dormitories are required to register their weekend plans and other data regularly with the dormitory staff.  Questions?  Contact a dorm supervisor.

About 50 girls live in a dormitory that is connected to the back of the main school building and about 50 boys live in a dormitory that is about 30 meters from the main school building. Each dorm has four hallways arranged in a square around an outdoor courtyard garden. Three sides of each dorm are for boys or girls only, and one side in each dorm is for both boys and girls to eat, play games, practice music, watch movies, and study. Each residence has a laundry room for students to use. There is a basic kitchen for students to use with a microwave, refrigerator, and rice cooker. A full-time kitchen staff provides two daily meals and a snack to dorm residents, while lunch is served on school days in the commons with the whole student body.

Each room has its own sink, and most of the students share a bathroom among a few of the rooms. There are usually two people per room for new students. Returning students often choose to have one of the larger rooms with more people living together. The residence is equipped with high speed wireless internet that is protected from most web sites which can be harmful for young people.

Dorm students have regular access to the school gymnasium, library, weight room, track, tennis courts, lake, commons, auditorium, and the many events going on at St. Croix each day.
